STATEMENTS OF PURPOSE

Vision Statement:  

We are committed to the development of character in our youth by instilling the values of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, respect, integrity and loyalty, as these are important to their growth in becoming well rounded members of our community.

Mission Statement:

LBSA is dedicated to the development of well-rounded youth through sports competition. We strive to develop fundamental skills through active participation and to promote good sportsmanship from our players, coaches and parents. LBSA is dedicated to the support of organized sports in the local school district. LBSA believes that our mission is to provide these organized sports with as many athletes as 

Core Strategies:

1. Competent, Effective and Fair Instruction:

A heavy focus on the recruitment, training and education of coaches in the core areas of teaching fundamental skills, game strategy and tactics, discipline, team work and fair play through the principles of positive reinforcement.

2. Quality Facility:

To provide a facility comprised of safe, well maintained fields, competent concessions and clean and visually appealing buildings and grounds to the best of our physical and financial abilities.

3. Growth:

To maintain and grow the utilization of The Dickey Complex while continuing to evolve and meet the changing needs of the community and youth sports.

4. Financial Viability:

To have a team and strategies in place to create solutions that financially help support the objectives of the organization.

5. Culture of Standards:

Create a culture in which board members, volunteers, coaches, parents and athletes work together to create an atmosphere where high standards are the norm.
